I loved this podcast so much! I didn’t particularly know Jimmy Kaar before this, and it’s brought me a whole new perspective on him as a comedian and a person. So many gems of wisdom. Do yourself a favour and make time to listen to this, you won’t regret it!
Below are some of the quotes I wrote down while listening. Please feel free to share a sentence (or 10!) that strikes you/resonates or makes you question something…
“The work doesn’t get lighter, your back gets stronger”
”You can’t smell the roses from a galloping horse”
”What looks like work to other people and feels like play to you?”
”Being a parent is about trading the measurable for the unmeasurable”
”92 beats a minute”
”The good is the enemy of the best”
”Confidence without competence is madness”
”You can’t have an easy life and a great character “
”What’s the last thing you’ve changed your mind about it ?”
”You have to choose where to suffer, choose what’s the stuff that matters to you and don’t let yourself down on that”

This was great. I had never heard Jimmy Carr talk seriously before. Inspiring stuff
