From Tom: Direct, nerdy, the opposite of what everyone says on procrastination. Punches are not pulled.

Originally, I wrote off this article - which is the opposite of the goal of this website but alas I passed it up for more "interesting" topics. But the more I sit with it and think about it, the more I resonate with that idea of 60 seconds of discomfort.

This occurred to me specifically yesterday; I read the article in the morning and moved on until I went to get a shot at the Drs office. Lo and behold I was faced with this immense fear, as I hate needles, but I allowed myself to sit with that fear and go into the appointment anyways instead of walking away, which I had every ability to do.

Is this example the same as procrastination? Not quite, but it was the moment when I reconsidered the concept of the sixty second "freakout curve". And now I'm considering how it COULD be applied to procrastination.

So now that I have "thought again" I'm going to try a real shot at applying this to my real life, especially in the middle of a move.
