Ricky's Share: First Contact

From Ricky's: First contact by Ursula Le Guin made me rethink the psychology of a chance meeting between completely alien species in a situation of uncertainty and a complete inability to communicate. I have had several close encounters with dangerous wild animals over the years and have also been very interested in cosmology. Le Guin's writing and this article's title lead me to expect contact with extraterrestrials as it's theme and her implied analogy to human-animal interaction was extremely thought-provoking. Of course, communication occurs in many ways.... In addition, the process and outcome of this interaction work also grounds for reflection.
