I’m a Gen Xer. My primary role is to make sense of the world and make investment decisions based on what I learn from trends in macro, money and disruptive technology (think bitcoin, crypto, AI and robotics). My time is also spent seeking out millennial and zoomer content to understand their views of the world, the challenges they face and how they are overcoming them.
One guy I recently stumbled across is Julian Figuroa. He’s aged 29 (younger millennial/older zoomer) and the issues he raises struck a chord with me as I was experiencing what he describes in his video as far back as 2014. It took me another 5 years to finally take the time to step away from my busy life, figure stuff out and adjust to the changing world that we live in. What he describes in his video is becoming more of an issue for his generation and the Alpha generation that follows.
His first episode of The Exit Manual (below) was released 1 month ago and he has already amassed 9000 subscribers on YouTube and 18000 followers on X. As someone who has spent thousands of hours learning about money and the system we are in, I always try and find people who can explain the complex simply. Julian does just that..
What he discusses:
- The rising disparity between where boomers are in their 20s and 30s compared to where millennials and zoomers are in their 20s and 30s
- Pets replacing children
- The need for side hustles to bolster incomes
- Printing of money
- Confusing the masses is by design
- A brief intro to Bitcoin
