The end of the english paper

This article really got me thinking. Not many clear answers, just a lot of interesting angles to sit with. I’d love to find more content exploring solutions to the current and future challenges around AI and education. If you come across anything good, please share it with us in the comment section?

I was particularly struck by how common it has become for students to use ChatGPT and similar tools for assignments. I appreciated that the author didn’t take a harsh stance, but instead reflected on the potential long-term impacts of these behaviours.

ChatGPT (and the likes) are most likely here to stay so my interest lies in the following questions: how do we work with it, instead of against it? And what are the big changes/shifts we need to make in order to enable this?

The author doesn’t really attempt to answer those questions and while he offers plenty of food for thought, it also left me wondering: Where are the deeper, more solution-focused conversations on this topic happening? Who’s leading them and how? And even "how could I get my hands on those?!" :)

It’s something I’d like us to explore further. I’m thinking this could be the theme of one of our upcoming in-person events, and I’ll have a think about what format we might try out.

In the meantime, hope you enjoy this one:
