From Sean: The podcast really challenged conventional wisdom about the natural state of humans. In a rigorous and evidence-based manner, the guest picks apart the assumptions of how many modern societies became structured in a way that they utilize violence to advance politics internally, and an agenda outside the group. One of the key takeaways is that humans are by nature non-hierarchical and fundamentally cooperative. When are deprived of opportunities to add value to our group, and be perceived as equal, societies become fragile. There are lessons within for any who want their societies to regenerate, and for humans to thrive within them.
