Financial literacy for kids, with Dr Vivianne Nikou

I enjoyed this talk because it made me think about the importance of teaching children about money. I thought it was a pleasant conversation on a topic that isn't really discussed (in my feeds anyway!). It was interesting for me to think about how we can teach financial literacy in a world when everything is so easy and invisible (tap & go culture). I was shocked to learn that only 50% of Australians are financially literate. And that only 15% of Australian teenage girls are financially literate (16% for teenage boys!). I wasn’t taught this at school, so it’s reassuring to see that some schools now include it in their curriculum.
