Diversity of AI risk

I have a confession to make... I never really understood what exactly people were afraid of when they speak of the existential threat that comes with AI. So I went on a hunt to find an article who would explain it to me. This is how I found this piece. It helped me get a clearer picture of what people are actually afraid of when it comes to AI.
This post pulls a lot of things I have read together in one place, which makes it much easier to grasp the bigger picture. It’s also one of the few articles I’ve read that moves beyond just sounding the alarm. Instead of dwelling on the doom, it offers tangible mitigations and practical thinking (something that often feels missing from the broader conversation).
Thought I’d share for anyone curious, confused, or wanting a more grounded take on AI risk.
