This was such a fascinating talk! Touching on psychology, policymaking, incentives, and even busting a few myths, while still pointing to real solutions and middle-ground approaches. It’s a hugely complex but important topic, especially for the animal lovers among us.

What stood out most for me was the shift in focus over time. In the early days, it was all about personal purity (individual choices and lifestyles) but that often didn’t translate into real impact. Over the past decade, though, the conversation has shifted towards impact at scale, and that’s where real opportunities lie. It made me think again about how much individual action can (and can’t) drive change on its own.

I also appreciated that the guest wasn’t trying to convert anyone to veganism or vegetarianism. Instead, the emphasis was on explaining the space, where the issues lie and outlining realistic, impactful paths forward.
