A Colourblind Society

Updated: Sep 15, 2025

If there is one podcast you should listen to this week, make it this one. It is an absolutely fascinating and mind changing (for me anyway) conversation about racism (trust, me it's not what you think).

It was recorded as part of the Festival of Dangerous Ideas, hosted here in Sydney, last year. The guest, writer and podcaster Coleman Hughes, is incredibly articulate and has no doubt changed my views on a lot of what is discussed. I particularly enjoyed the first 10 minutes where the host, Josh Szeps, asks him what his thoughts are on our "acknowledgement of country"... But the whole podcast is really terrific, just listen to it!

This was such an interesting podcast. A classic example of a topic that we are afraid to speak about because of reactions it evokes rather than the thoughtful dialogue we can create around it to honor, respect, and to move forward in and as of a society.
